What is the best driving route to Marathasa Wines?
We are an hour’s drive from Nicosia and 1 hour and 15 mins from Limassol. The winery is located on the east side of the Marathasa valley, above Oikos village.
If you are travelling to us from the South (Limassol), do not follow your Sat-Nav! Do not take the road via Ayios Nikolaos tis Stegis (Church of St Nicholas of the Roof) just before Kakopetria. Instead, please continue past Evyrchou village, and turn left at the junction towards Marathasa valley and Kalopanayiotis. When you reach Oikos village, follow the brown signs to the winery.
What should I wear for the tour?
Please wear comfortable walking shoes for all our tours. Flip-flops and high-heeled shoes are not suitable. In hot weather, bring a sunhat, water-bottle and suncream. In cold or wet weather, bring a warm coat and an umbrella.
Can I bring my dog, even if it is very small?
In order to ensure a safe and relaxing environment for all our visitors, pets are not permitted in the tasting areas at Marathasa Wines. Trained guide dogs for the blind are permitted.
What do you serve?
We offer a variety of delicious wine tasting flights, paired tasting bites and light platters. We do not have a full-service restaurant on site.
